We currently have AT&T U-Verse, which I haven't had any trouble with, but my contract is up and the price increased over 30%. I intend on calling them and negotiating the price back down but if they won't drop it back to where it was I'm switching service providers. I know Brighthouse operates in my neighborhood, but don't know how their QoS is. Does anybody have any experience dealing with Brighthouse? Or any advice on service providers?

I would look into CenturyLink as it looks to be much cheaper than Brighthouse.

Century link doesn't offer TV service. I needs my GoT and TWD. Preferably when it originally airs, not 6 months later on Netflix.
They are cheaper though. That's actually twice the speed for $10 less than I pay now for Internet. The Brighthouse plan that closely resembles my current plan is about the same price that I used to pay and the speed is way faster. I'll probably call AT&T tomorrow and try to get my price reduced.
How reliable is Brighthouse, anybody ever dealt with them directly. I don't trust internet reviews, btw.

Just whatever you do, avoid Comcast at all costs. Can't wait to move out and get my own provider. Comcast is slow as hell, fairly expensive, and unfortunately the only provider we have out here in the county.

As for your GoT and TWD, I watch all my shows on couchtuner.ag stream all available episodes, hasn't cause my PC any problems as of yet, and it's all free. Hell, I'm currently watching the latest GoT right now. Nice thing about being on the west coast, by the time the shows would air on my side of the country, people on the east coast have already put up the latest episode, minus commercials. They usually have it up within an hour after it being broadcasted.

Eaglesrulz: Because they would overrun the South and form a new empire of Billie. And with cloning the Empire of Billie would eclipse even China on terms of population and will expand north and southwards, bringing NATO into the war. In desperation the remains of the US government launches all of their remaining stash of ICBM's, the Empire of Billie retaliates and nuclear holocaust ensues and the end of humanity is upon us. Without receiving supplies from much needed space missions from Earth, the moon and Mars colonies quickly descend into anarchy and collapse and die out one by one.

I may have to give Century another look.
As for Comcast, a co-workers mother-in-law is some sort of marketing executive for them. He said they buy out entire regions and prevent other providers from moving in. Not sure how that works, but it explains why you can only get Comcast.

You can still go satellite, so you always have options. Also, I think they only buy rights for cable. DSL and fiber optic can still be run in areas that Comcast has "bought out".

I've used brighthouse a few different times, as I live in FL.
Definitely better than Comcast (like thats saying much) and I'd put them on equal footing with AT&T in regards to cust serv. and service in general.

Rememeber if you get a good enough deal on "internert only" there's always HBOnow or amazon/hulu streaming services for everything else.
